DESCRIPTION:(As well as access to the live sessions\, you’ll receive a link to the recordings\, which will be valid for 28 days after the course ends) \nIn this exciting\, hands-on course\, you’ll discover how to get the most from your smartphone camera and learn to shoot and edit like a pro! \nThese online sessions will be held Tuesday 26th March\, 2nd\, 9th and 23rd April 2024\, 19:00-21:30pm (UK time) and will be recorded for those who can’t attend live. \nPrior to the start\, participants will receive a ‘needs analysis’ to establish their individual needs and expectations from the course. \nThroughout the event\, you’ll be set a series of practical exercises and receive expert feedback\, to help heighten your visual awareness. \nA private Facebook group will be set up and participants can share photographs and comment on each other’s work throughout and beyond the course. \nYou’ll learn to create more dynamic and creative compositions to achieve your own personal style of photography. You’ll find out how to turn the ordinary into the extraordinary\, as you improve your ability to think and see photographically. \nWith Brendan’s guidance\, you’ll be able to help your subjects forget the camera – and to create portraits to be proud of. You’ll also quash any fears you may have of street and travel photography and grow in confidence. \nYou’ll become a whizz at editing with Snapseed (a popular free app) to fine tune your images and prepare them for sharing on social media. You’ll also get some great advice on making your work stand out on Instagram. \nBy the end of the course\, you should be equipped with the skills needed to shoot and edit photographs on your smartphone\, that you’ll be proud to print\, show and share! \nAbout your Tutor \nBrendan Ó Sé is an award-winning Smartphone Photographer and Educator from Cork in Ireland. He exhibits his work around the world and has won many international awards including ‘iPhone Photographer of the Year’ in 2017. \nHe enjoys teaching photography\, most regularly with Photo Museum of Ireland and The Glucksman Gallery\, Cork. DESCRIPTION:(As well as access to the 2 live Sessions\, you will receive links to the recordings\, which will be valid for 28 days from the last Session) \nIn this 2-part course\, Erik will share and explain his extraordinary\, creative ICM images which are heavily influenced by his love of music. \nLearn from Erik as he clarifies the processes he has developed over the last 25 years\, leading to his pre-eminence as one of the few photographers in the world to master its aesthetic in the way he does. \nErik began his artistic career as a musician. He studied at the College of Music in Gothenburg\, Sweden and also conducting under professor Jorma Panula. In 1988 he was a soloist at the Malmö Opera and founded the Philharmonic Chamber Ensemble. \nErik has a deep passion for nature as well as music\, from which his love of photography stems. DESCRIPTION:(As well as access to the 2 live Sessions\, you will receive links to the recordings\, which will be valid for 28 days from the last Session) \nBill will share his infectious enthusiasm for creative abstract photography\, with live demos of both ICM and in-camera Multiple Exposures. \nYou should come away feeling inspired and invigorated – and equipped with new skills to take your creative photography to the next level! \nWith plenty of practical demonstrations\, Bill will explain the fundamentals of abstract photography. In particular\, he’ll delve into the technical side of Intentional Camera Movement (ICM) and in-camera Multiple Exposures.  \nThese sessions will focus less on his usual territory of the ‘why’ and rather more on the ‘what’ and the ‘how’. So it promises to be an informative workshop with practical tips you can apply to your own work. \nYou’ll learn a range of ICM tools\, including shutter speed\, focus\, ND filters\, use of zoom lenses\, specific movements and gestures\, stationary subjects vs moving subjects. \nYou’ll also discover the different blend modes of in-camera Multiple Exposures (Average\, Additive\, Bright\, Dark) as well as how to mix ICM and Multiple Exposures together. \nDon’t miss this opportunity to learn from Bill’s expert knowledge and experience\, gained from over 10 years of immersing himself into this genre! \nBill was a judge for the UK ‘Landscape Photographer of the Year 2022’.  \nHis work is often recognised in competitions worldwide\, featured in various media outlets and he’s a regular contributor to ‘ICM Photography Magazine.’ \nCourse dates: Mondays Jan 29th and Feb 5th 2024. \nRecordings available until 4th March 2024.

DESCRIPTION:(As well as access to the 10 live Workshops\, you will receive links to the recordings\, which will be valid forever) \nIn this comprehensive course\, you’ll learn how to edit your images with confidence and unleash the full power of Adobe Photoshop. \nThis is the third time we’re running this popular course. The live sessions are held every Friday from January 26th until April 5th (excluding 9th February) from 7:00-9:30pm (UK time). \nFirst\, Jonathan will take you through Adobe’s RAW Converter (ACR)\, which is the same as Lightroom’s Develop Module\, then into Ps to understand its interface\, what the tools do\, and how to set them up to  give you a proven workflow. \nThe course develops showing techniques using layers – and then onto more complex work such as luminosity masking\, composites\, and displacements. \nThe sessions are relaxed and flexible to ensure they move with the pace of the group. Attendees are encouraged to participate fully to ensure they get the most out of the course. \nAs with all of our Mastery Workshops\, each class will be recorded and downloadable by participants for their permanent ongoing personal use to revise\, review and revisit. \nJonathan regularly teaches Photoshop online\, both in groups and one to one sessions.
