DESCRIPTION:(As well as access to the live event\, you will receive a link to the recording\, which will be valid for 14 days) \nUnlock your creativity with John Miskelly\, in a hands-on journey into the artistic side of photography – where imagination leads the way! \nIn this live Zoom talk\, John will explore the whole creative side of photography\, which is so often neglected or misunderstood. \n\nHe will demonstrate his vision of the photographer as the artist\, often starting with a ‘straight image’ and transforming it into something totally different and unique. \n\nYou’ll discover how John uses Photoshop\, for a range of different creative techniques\, such as multiple exposures\, blend modes\, ICM\, colour and textures\, to produce something unique. \n\nThis talk isn’t about equipment or technique\, but instead it will be about exploring our creativity as an artist. So come along for the ride and let’s see what we can create together… \n\n“Of course\, there will always be those who look only at technique\, who ask ‘how’ while others of a more curious nature will ask ‘why’. These early mornings yield both personal and professional projects. \n“Photography has become such a big part of my life that it’s hard to remember what life was like before it!” \nIn her talk Emily will share how the ocean inspires her creativity and showcase some of her most beloved images. \nEmily is an outdoor freelance photographer from the UK\, capturing soulful imagery through her work and personal projects. She is addicted to chasing great light\, seeking the beauty in the ordinary and just generally being out in nature. \nShe uses her transferable skillset across multiple genres\, conveying stories\, evoking emotions\, and preserving moments in time\, using her creativity to produce captivating and meaningful images. \nShe is proud to have represented Fujifilm as an official X-Photographer for 2022 and 2023 and continues to be an advocate of the brand.

DESCRIPTION:(As well as access to the live event\, you will receive a link to the recording\, which will be valid for 14 days) \nAfter his popular debut in March\, Smartphone photography and storytelling whizz\, Brendan Ó Sé\, returns to wow us with his brand-new Talk! \nBrendan will explore how the limitations of the smartphone heightened his visual awareness\, enhanced his storytelling and took his photography to the next level.   \nHe’ll explain how not relying on his DSLR allowed him to see and create in unusual ways\, resulting in more striking and unique Traveland Street images.  \nHe will demonstrate\, through sharing his work\, how photography is not about cameras\, but all about the craft of composition\, light and story. \nBy the end of this talk\, you’ll discover how having your smartphone with you at all times\, can shift you from passive observer to an active creative photographer.  \nBrendan is from Cork\, Ireland and exhibits his work all around the world and has won many international awards including ‘iPhone Photographer of the Year’ in 2017.  \nAs well as ‘MyPhotoClub Smartphone Tuition Sessions’\, he also runs photography workshops with the Photo Museum of Ireland and The Glucksman Gallery. He’s also co-founder of the Mobiography Awards.
