DESCRIPTION:Discover the art of producing strong powerful Monochrome Conversions with the Photoshop expert\, Jonathan Vaines \nIn this two-hour session we will cover the art of Monochrome Conversions. \nAs most of us capture images in RAW and in colour we have all the ingredients to make strong powerful monochrome versions of our colour photographs. \nThe session will cover how to convert using both Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Camera RAW (Lightroom Develop Module). \nThe conversion philosophy will demonstrate the power of a conversion over a colour image being desaturated. \nThe methods demonstrated will include: \n1. Adobe RAW converter \n2. Channel mixing \n3. LAB space conversions \n4. Black and White Adjustment layer \nWe will also cover image toning\, how to do it and why some images benefit from it. \nWorking with Low Key images and also High Contrast\, including Super Dark images which are great for dramatic portraits. \nJonathan regularly teaches Photoshop online\, as well as face-to-face camera craft sessions. A story of perseverance against the odds and dedication to living a creative life. \nYou’ll hear how photography has given Margaret the freedom to live a creative life true to her own passions. Come along to hear her stories and be inspired to follow your own dreams! \nMargaret runs an online membership\, a podcast\, an annual creative festival and retreats in Harris. She’s held 3 landscape photography exhibitions and is represented by the Bosham Gallery. DESCRIPTION:Learn not just how to evaluate light in your image\, but how to then move light from where you don’t want it\, to where you need it! \nIn these two two-hour workshops on the 19th and 26th July\, you will learn that simple light movements can make all the difference to the impact of an image\, but you must also consider the colour too. \nLight and colour often work hand in hand\, and you will see how shifting\, or changing\, colours can alter photographs. \nThese two workshop will give you the understanding of : \n\nAdobes most powerful tools\, Levels and Curves.  We will use these to control input and output light along with enhancing light and colour.\nColour manipulations in Camera RAW with both HSL and Point Colour\nColour Grading\nColour changes in photoshop including:\n\nBlend mode\nChannel mixing\nSelective colouration\n\n\nShifting light from one image to another file\nBalancing colours between separate images\n\nJonathan regularly teaches Photoshop online\, as well as face-to-face camera craft sessions. DESCRIPTION:(As well as access to the live event\, you will receive a link to the recording\, which will be valid for 14 days) \n\nEnter the enchanting world of floral photography and learn to capture the beauty and serenity of nature in Jocelyn’s impressionistic style. \n\nJocelyn Horsfall is an award-winning Photographic Artist\, specialising in atmospheric and evocative images\, inspired by flowers\, foliage and the natural world. \n\nShe believes nature is good for the soul\, and strives to capture its beauty\, tranquillity and harmony in her work. She combines a strong sense of colour and form with an interest in textural effects and abstraction. \n\nAlthough Jocelyn will start by sharing some of her earlier landscapes\, this evening will focus on her flowers and foliage\, both in the studio and then outdoors through the seasons of the year. \n\nYou’ll be introduced to the different techniques she uses with her camera\, including textured glass\, soft focus\, multiple exposure and camera movement – and a little creative post processing too! \n\nJocelyn Horsfall ARPS is a well-respected expert in her field and regularly exhibits across the UK\, in both group and solo exhibitions. She has had great success with the International Garden Photographer of the year competition over the years\, this time receiving five awards.
