In this 2-part course, Erik will share and explain his extraordinary, creative ICM images which are heavily influenced by his love of music.
Learn from Erik as he clarifies the processes he has developed over the last 25 years, leading to his pre-eminence as one of the few photographers in the world to master its aesthetic in the way he does.
Erik began his artistic career as a musician. He studied at the College of Music in Gothenburg, Sweden and also conducting under professor Jorma Panula. In 1988 he was a soloist at the Malmö Opera and founded the Philharmonic Chamber Ensemble.
Erik has a deep passion for nature as well as music, from which his love of photography stems. Rather than being just casual interests, they are fundamental passions deeply embedded in his DNA.
He describes these MPC Tuition Sessions as ”A dive into ICM – to make music with images”.
And if anyone could be described as ‘The Conductor of Light’ it must be Erik Malm!
