Learn to create remarkable images using the camera in your pocket – with award-winning Smartphone Photographer and Educator, Brendan Ó Sé.

Brendan will explore how the limitations of the smartphone put him on a path of heightened visual awareness – and accelerated his photographic development.

He’ll explain how not relying on his DSLR allowed him to see and create in unusual ways, resulting in more unique imagery and striking street photography.

He will demonstrate, through his images, how photography is not about cameras, but all about the craft of composition, light and story.

By the end of this talk, you’ll discover how having your smartphone with you at all times, can shift you from passive observer to an active creative photographer.

Brendan is from Cork, Ireland and was part of the hugey successful #shotoniPhone global campaign in 2015. He exhibits his work all around the world and has won many international awards including ‘iPhone Photographer of the Year’ in 2017.

He runs photography workshops, most regularly with the Photo Museum of Ireland and The Glucksman Gallery. He’s also co-founder of the Mobiography Awards.
