When Thoresby Colliery closed in July 2015, it brought more than 900 years of coal mining in Nottinghamshire to an end.
Chris Upton spent the final year documenting the colliery, creating a photographic record of an industry and community facing historic change.
He will explain how the project began, how he approached photographing the mine, and how the images developed into a major social documentary project.
