A fascinating, whistle-stop tour around the creative, original, and magical world of self-taught Fine Art Photographer, Viveca Koh!
In this Talk she’ll present a collection of her ‘mini projects’ to give you a taste of her eclectic interests and unique photographic voice.
You’ll hear about her Elgies (Taphophile Tales) photographed in cemeteries and her love for stone angels and monumental masonry.
There will be dolls and mannequins, which she finds sinister but intriguing with their moulded faces and strange sense of humanity.
Abandoned buildings are also her passion, as are the minutiae that collects in hidden corners, and the small parts of bigger things that are fascinating in their own right.
Learn how she enhances this work with texture overlays, double exposures, often incorporating old found documents to add a different dimension.
You’ll also discover her square format seascapes from the Isle of Man and images inspired by the flower photography of Robert Mapplethorpe. Finally, she’ll share some smartphone photography, a passion which began in 2012.
Viveca Koh is a Fellow of The Royal Photographic Society (2014) and The Irish Photographic
Federation (2021). She’s an LRPS Panel Member and Visual Art Panel Member, assessing all 3 levels of RPS distinctions.
