Take ICM beyond the original photograph, using studio techniques, textures and blending to create more personal and expressive abstract art.
(As well as access to the live event, you will automatically receive a link to the recording, valid for 28 days)
See how moving ICM into the studio/indoors can open up new creative possibilities, give you greater control, and an expanded range of techniques, to develop sophisticated abstract art.
After an introduction to ICM fundamentals, David will demonstrate his structured workflow, including image texturisation, building a personal texture library, blending multiple ICM captures and adding manual embellishments.
See how an infrared-converted camera can be used to create monochrome ICM work, and how alternative wavelengths can deepen abstraction and mood.
David will share how he takes his finished work into print, exhibitions and galleries, including his approach to presenting and selling abstract photographic art.
David Day is a studio-based ICM artist from Western North Carolina whose work has appeared in galleries across the United States and in regional and national publications. He is the author of three instructional books on Studio ICM, including Studio ICM 2.0: The Emotional Residue of Dreams, which expands on his concepts and workflows and examines the role of dream imagery in shaping his artistic vision.
