Discover the art of producing strong powerful Monochrome Conversions with the Photoshop expert, Jonathan Vaines
In this two-hour session we will cover the art of Monochrome Conversions.
As most of us capture images in RAW and in colour we have all the ingredients to make strong powerful monochrome versions of our colour photographs.
The session will cover how to convert using both Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Camera RAW (Lightroom Develop Module).
The conversion philosophy will demonstrate the power of a conversion over a colour image being desaturated.
The methods demonstrated will include:
1. Adobe RAW converter
2. Channel mixing
3. LAB space conversions
4. Black and White Adjustment layer
We will also cover image toning, how to do it and why some images benefit from it.
Working with Low Key images and also High Contrast, including Super Dark images which are great for dramatic portraits.
Jonathan regularly teaches Photoshop online, as well as face-to-face camera craft sessions. He also runs workshops for the Royal Photographic Society, is a circuit Judge and Paper Spectrum sponsored Lecturer.
