A plan to be a part-time wedding photographer soon evolved into a successful business, later pivoting towards landscape photography – developing invaluable skills along the way.
Margaret now has 20 years of professional photography experience, including portraiture, commercial, property, food, landscape as well as her wedding photography.
She’s navigated many highs and lows, continuing to adapt and evolve to keep her business profitable. A story of perseverance against the odds and dedication to living a creative life.

Margaret runs an online membership, a podcast, an annual creative festival and retreats in Harris. She’s held 3 landscape photography exhibitions and is represented by the Bosham Gallery. She still occasionally shoots weddings on the Isle of Harris.
Her work has featured in Build It magazine, Grand designs, Rough Guides, Coast, Camera Craft, Professional Photographer, Outdoor Photography and many Scottish broadsheets. She’s printed 3 photography books and is currently writing her memoir.
