Join Photoshop expert, Jonathan Vaines, for an in-depth Tuition Session, as he shares the secrets to creating his impressive Pastel images!
Anyone familiar with Jonathan’s work will be know his main passion is for creative pastel images. The soft light he uses gives his images his trademark painterly look.
During this two-hour workshop, you’ll learn how this dreamy effect can be used to simplify the appearance your photos and transform them into an original work of art.
This jam-packed session will start by demonstrating how to prepare an image in Adobe Camera Raw (or Lightroom) before taking into Photoshop.
Then you’ll find out how to balance the light using an adjustment layer to manage the light movement before slowly generating the desired effect.
Jonathan will also show you how to introduce a ‘glow’ and suggest movement.
You’ll discover that Pastel is so different to traditional post-production and working with your histogram is the key to your success!
In a nutshell, he’ll cover:
- Image preparation in ACR (or Lightroom)
- Management of luminosity
- Producing colour washes
- Adding and removing contrast
- Working with your histogram
